I just like to play with Brookie during the games!

Weekend at the Cabin

Allen and I spent the weekend at the cabin with some friends and Grandma and Grandpa Bishop! We roasted marshmallows and played games. Jeffery fell out of his chair twice and that was very entertaining. We also celebrated Grandpa Bishops birthday on Saturday.
Daisy fell in between the rocks and off the bridge into the river but she was okay!

Road Trip to Montana

My mom (Jill) had a crazy idea to rent a huge van and pack everyone up and drive to Montana. So.... she rented a huge van and all the Payne/Symes/Payne/Bishops loaded up. Except Allen because he had to work.
All ten of us in a van together was a little crazy but not so bad. Even the babies did pretty good. It was really fun to go visit Grandma and Grandpa.
We panned through some dirt and searched for sapphires with gram and then took her out to dinner. We watched some movie and got attacked by spiders! It was a pretty eventful trip but I am really happy that we got to go.

New Job Wahoooooo!

I got a new job!
I am back at the Deseret News, working in the accounting office!
I am so glad to get this job because I was so tired of working at smiths. Its going to be a really good change for me and I really enjoy the people who work there.

Big 8 party

8-8-08
Wendy had a party at the park for her birthday! Everyone was invited and we had potluck dinner. The night was really exciting with Chelsea and Garrett each performing, as well as the Lagoon singing dancers and even the firemen came to show the kids the fire truck and ambulance.

Grass, Baby, and Lake Powell!

July 2008!
Wow July was packed with exciting things. First I spent the 4th missing out on all the holiday fun and had to work at Smiths. It turned out okay because I talked my manager into letting me leave early and I made it to Kaysville to watch fireworks with Allen and some friends.

Allen Had been working for the past few months in the back yard. He and Grandpa Allen built a rockwall and removed tons of boulders using the neighbor, Doug Hanks', bobcat tractor. The broke it once but fixed it and had a lot of fun using it. The took like 7 thousand pounds of rock to the dump. Allen Leveled the bottom tier of the yard and then Tyler and Ryan helped him install the sprinkler system. A week or two later the sod arrived and so did all the help! Ethan was so funny trying to help Allen with the sod. He had a little piece and he packed it around and stomped it into place everywhere that Allen was putting down pieces.
Having grass is so great! You definitely don't realize how much you should appreciate it until you have to go with out it for a while.

PS we are not growing marijuana above the rock wall it just looks like it.

Kale Macuen S. Freeman was born on July 27th 2008!
6lbs 15oz and 21in. He is so cute! We were very excited to hear he finally arrived!

At the end of the month Allen and I got to go to Lake Powell with the Paynes/Symes/and Doctor Massey!
Dr. Massey was so nice to rent a houseboat for us. Everyone left on Sunday morning and Allen and I came on Thursday morning. We camped one night and then they came to pick us up for the houseboat the on Friday afternoon. Allen got up on the wake board on his third try.
We fished, played cards, road wave runners, baked in the sun, and of course the nightly rock band concerts.

Trip to California

May 2008
Bishop/Thomas/Freeman Family Trip to California!
This trip was take two. This trip was supposed to be the year before but was suddenly put on hold when Brad Bishop had a heart attack that he nearly died from. It was very scary but we are very happy that we still have him!

We all flew together minus Aaron who was already in California for work and Brandi who flew after work but still beat us to the hotel. None of the babies got to come but they were very missed by day .... 3 or 4! We went to the farmers market, go-cart racing, walked on the beach at sunset, played cards, sat in the hot tub, went to a Padres Game, visited the SCRIPPS Aquarium and then we went to DISNEY LAND! Yes this was my first time since I was really little so it was very very exciting for me! I think it was Jake's first time too.

The weather wasn't real great so we didn't swim in the ocean too much, but that was okay with me because a man was eaten by a shark on that beach the week before we got there.
Allen, Jake, and Garrett were not worried about the weather or the shark so they went boogie boarding anyways.
Then Chelsea decided she was going to go for a swim. She started getting too close to the exposed reef so the beach lifeguards swam out and rescued her. We were all very amused as we watched from the beach!

Fish Tank

April 2008
Allen got a new saltwater fish tank for his birthday! He is officially obsessed with salt water aquariums now and he spend hours on saltwaterfish.com. He and Brad now share this hobby and I think that it is nice that they get to help each other out with their tanks. I cant believe the work that goes into having such a beautiful tank and Allen is all about it. He does water changes once a week and test all the levels in the water. He talks about fish now almost as much as he talks about cars.

Our Wedding!

March 7th 2008!
Time to get hitched!
We were married at the Wight house in Bountiful UT. Everything went perfect and It was an amazing day. Allen was the most handsome groom you have ever seen and I wasn't lookin so bad either! My dad walked me down the isle and Bishop Todd Smith married us. I don't remember anything he said because I was so nervous but he kept it short so I wouldn't pass out.
Then the party started and friends and family poured in. We couldn't believe all the people who showed up to congratulate and support us. We are so thankful to have such great friends and family. I really couldn't believe all the people.
Thanks everyone who helped make the night so perfect for us. We love you!

It seemed like it took forever for the day to come and then it was over so fast. We had so much fun at our wedding and on our honeymoon but it was so nice to come home to our house that we had just put so much time and effort into! Just a week or two after we got home from our honeymoon we got the news that my Grandma Montana (Anderson, we just always call her Grandma Montana because thats were she lives?) She was diagnosed with Cancer and it has spread throughout her body. She is one of the strongest people I know and It is hard to believe that someone so strong and full of energy could be suffering from something like this. I love her and I hope she knows it.

New (Old) House

February 2008
We bought our house! The house was not so pretty but we were so excited to have a place to live that it didn't matter. Allen and Grandpa Allen and Grandpa Bishop spent hours and hours and weeks fixing up the front yard. They poured a front sidewalk, removed over grown trees and bushes, caped off the rock walls, tore out a cement wishing well, dug up huge rocks, leveled out the dirt, installed a sprinkler system, and laid sod.

Allen and I decided we needed new carpet for sure because there was black dirt trails from the previous owners. Then we decided that if we were going to paint we should do it before we get new carpet so the paint wouldn't drip. This turned into tiling a back splash in our kitchen, painting the kitchen cabinets, updating kitchen appliances, painting all the ceilings white, painting all the walls in the house, and all of the baseboards and doors. Then we decided to add some recessed lighting in the kitchen witch then led to grandpa having to fix most of the electrical wiring for the house because of a fire hazard. What would we do without grandpa to save the day every time! We did the entire project in two weeks. Those two weeks happened to be the two weeks before our wedding. I was sick and was working a crazy schedule at smiths. I'm not sure if Allen ever slept. He was working 50 hours and pulled many all nighters. The night before the carpet guy came we were rushing to finish the painting and pulled up all the carpet. We finally finished and the carpet guy showed up about an hour later. It was Eight O'clock the next morning. I was so tired that I fell asleep on the couch in the front yard while the carpet was being installed. Poor Allen was at work.

We are engaged!

October 12th 2007
Allen popped the big question! We were at a park that we had been to on our first date. We were sitting on a bench watching the swans down on the pond. It was amazing, you could see the reflection of the moon across the water. He got down on his knee and pulled out a little white box. It was the best night ever.

From the begining

July 2006
So it all started with a trip to Lava Hot Springs. Allen was there with Jesse and all of the Bishops/Allens. Shelly called me and told me that her family was there camping and that she really wanted to go and needed me to drive her. She forgot to mention the part that Jesse and Allen were there and we were not really going to camp with her family. Once we got to Lava and I saw the two boys I started figuring out her mischievous plan. I wasn't too mad because I was very single and Allen was very attractive! We hung out at Lava all weekend and I got to meet most of the family right away. We had our first date the day after we got home from Lava and spent everyday together after that.
