Back To Work...

I have now been back to work for 2 weeks. I was really sad that time had gone by so fast and I was going to have to start leaving my munchkin with other people, but at least I get to leave her with people I love and trust.
So far the schedule goes like this....

Monday and Tuesday:

Mckehl Walker has her. Mckehl and I have been friends since Jr. High school and she lives way close. Kehl will be such a good mommy one day ... right now she is just going to practice with Karlee.

Wednesday:

Malerie Walker has her. Malerie is Mckehl's sister-in-law and also another good friend of mine. She has a little girl named Oakley who is just about 5 months older then Karlee. They will be such cute little friends.

Thursday:

Grammy Wendi, Allen's mom has her. Wendi works from home on Thursday's and Karlee is so easy that she just gets to hang out while Wendi works. Grandpa Brad, Chelsea and Garrett get to snuggle her on Thursday's too.

Friday:

Shaleen has her. Shaleen is Allen's sister. She lives across the street from Malerie today, but tomorrow she will live across the street from Grammy. It is so nice to have everyone so close to me and each other.

I am so lucky to only be working until 3pm. I get to see my munchkin for a couple extra hours every day, but come August 1st its back to school.

Still Learning...

We are still trying to figure out .. how to be mom and dad, go to work, sleep, play together, eat together, clean, and ...... find time to blog about it.

4 weeks ... Its true time flys when your haveing fun.... and she is sooooo fun.

Wow one month has flown by. I cant believe its almost time for me to head back to work. Karlee and I have been having so much fun being at home. She is the sweetest baby ever. She sleeps so good and hardly cries. She is always, always smiling and I just love to snuggle her.


I was pretty freaked out to give her a bath after we got her home so I called up Shaleen and had her come do it for me. She also came and pulled off her belly button for me cause I was being a wuss. It was not even attached anymore it was just crusted on from a little bit of blood. Whatever. Its over now and we are bath time pro's. Karlee loves her baths. She never cries she just totally relaxes and enjoys the massage.


She has been getting loved by all her cousins. They are all so concerned about her and love to kiss her little face.


We have been going to the doctors office once a week so that he can monitor her weight gain.
Week 1: 5 lbs 3 oz
Week 2: 5 lbs 9 oz
Week 3: 6 lbs 3 oz
Week 4: 6 lbs 12 oz
She is gaining like crazy and has the cutest little baby chub. We have been putting weight gainer formula into the breast milk bottles but we get to stop doing that now because the doctor said she will be fine now with out it. She is not yellow anymore and the doctors really are not worried about her. She is doing so good she is a little champ.

I just wanted to say thanks again to everyone. We have received so much help from when we were in the hospital, help with dogs, dinners, baby supplies and clothes that we were not prepared for, much needed afternoon breaks, just everything. We really are so grateful to have so many friends and family who are close to us and are willing to give up their time and money to help us out. Thanks! We love you all.
