What to name the baby!

I get really anxious thinking about what to name our baby. I dont like to call the baby "the baby" or "baby" or "it". He needs a name. I like traditional names, unique names, and even just made up names. Allen likes more traditional names. There is one name that we both really like but it seems to be quite popular lately and so we are still thinking on it. Let me know if you have any fun ideas! His middle name is going to be Allen and last name Bishop.

Big News for the Bishop Family!

Girl? Wrong. We have one of those.

Well that's what we thought when we peaked last week. I was pretty excited/Nervous and all I could think about was the fighting that would go on with two teen age girls so close in age.

So we waited until we saw our Doctor on Monday just to make sure before we told anyone.
And NOW....

So for everyone who is now confused. We are NOT having twins. We will be welcoming one sweet baby boy on March 11th 2011!

Baby boy had his legs crossed the first time we peaked and we mistakenly thought we saw what looked like a girl.

But then his legs uncrossed and we got a better look..

And then we got up close and personal.

I am really excited for a baby boy! My mind has been racing thinking about names and how fun and excited Karlee will be (she LOVES babies) and how to decorate his room!

We love you baby Boy!

Karlee's Weekend Adventures/ Baby Update!

1st trip to the zoo!

I hate to be the annoying negative mom, but the zoo is the dumbest place I have ever been. Everything is under construction and all the animals might as well be fake because they wouldn't even move.
"See that Karlee way way way over there, that is a Rhino. You cant really tell because its not moving and you can only see its butt, but its a Rhino and super exciting!"
There was a couple monkeys that she could see and whatever that animal is in the picture above. Other than that, the zoo is lame.
Maybe we will go back one day when the construction is done and she is bigger.

Best part was the nap on the way home.

The weekend changed for the better and Karlee got to have a sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa Payne's house!
She absolutely loves her Grandma and Grandpa. They play with her non stop and she gets all eyes on her. They ride bikes and look at pictures, color on the art table, read stories, eat ice cream, go to the farm, and play at the park. Grandma even found a new toy kitchen for karlees bed room.

When I went on Sunday morning to pick her up she wasn't very excited to see me. It made me a little sad, but happy that she had such a good time!

PS....
I'm 16 weeks pregnant now
and we are going to the doctor to find out what we are having. Post your vote on the upper right hand of the blog and we will announce after we find out!
Tips for your vote...
I am sick again, my hair doesn't seem to be growing anymore than usual, I haven't gained any weight, I crave really sour sugary candy all the time (that's nothing new) and I feel like I could go to sleep today and wake up next month.
I'm not sure if that will help you decide if its a BOY or GIRL but there ya go!

The Non Walker.

Karlee is just about 17 months old now and still not walking. I wasn't really worried about it, mostly just annoyed. Then we went in for a well baby check and her doctor told me he was concerned and wanted us to start taking her to physical therapy to see what was wrong.
When she hold my hand and walks with me, she locks her legs and doesn't bend anything. The best way to describe it is Frankenstein.

So on Thursday we went to our first PT appointment. After watching karlee play with toys and maneuver around the little gym, it was decided that she just has really floppy joints. Her joints are really loose which has caused her to not develop strong muscles in her legs. Now that her legs have no muscle, the only way she can support herself is to lock her legs so they dont just give out.

What a relief. She is just a princess and has weak princess muscles. I can handle that diagnosis. So for the next few weeks we will be going to PT to help strengthen her joints and muscles and hopefully, just HOPEFULLY, we can get this girl walking by Halloween so she can do some trick or treating! I feel like a Frankenstein costume would be appropriate????!!!

Karlee's 1st REAL hair cut.

So everyone remembers her first hair cut that I gave her when she was about 4 or 5 months old.... I buzzed her head. Her hair was so thick and black in some places and so blond and thin in others that I just couldn't look at it anymore. So I Buzzed it. I am pretty sure I will never hear the end of that .... Ahhh you buzzed your baby girls head??????!!!! Yes I did.

So now that she is growing more hair and we can actually do something with it, it was time for Karlee to get a Real Pretty Girl Hairdo. So Here it is. A perfect tiny little A-Line.
She was a princess and sat very still the entire time Ricki cut her hair. (Thanks to the sucker in her mouth)
