Lava Hot Springs 2011

Lava is a special place for us. Allen and I met at lava in 2006. Shelly dragged me up there to go camp with her family. Little did I know, her boyfriend at the time.. was up there with Allen and his family. Shelly had no plans of camping with her family and I was introduced to Allen, the Allen's, the bishops and the entire Wendi Bishop side of the family.

Allen and I ... we fell in love.. sorta. And we were pretty much together after that.

Every Year we try to go down to Lava with all the Allen's Mom's side of the family. We took Zane for his first time in July 2011. Its so fun every year. Glad we get the chance to do it.








This year, while we were at the pool, a lady jumped off one of the platforms and wasnt doing so great, so they kicked everyone out of the pool and made us all stand on the grass while they got her out of the water. If you have been to LAVA in the summer, you know it is crazy busy.. or at least it is every time we go. So tons of people packed onto the grass. Well, I guess we took our eyes off Karlee for 1 minute and she was gone. We all started frantically searching for her. The lady in the pool ended up being okay so they let everyone jump back in the pool. Ahhh this made it even scarier because now I didnt know if she was in the pool or out of the pool. I was freaking out. Well we found her about 3 minutes later, inside, almost ready to jump in the indoor pool. Little stink scared me to death.









We took Karlee to Lave for the first time in 2009.

Bear Lake Trip 2011

I dont really remember which weekend this was, but it was fun. We camped on the grass in front of the symes cabin at bear lake. We played on the beach, that Karlee decided to hate, and we also swam on the grass in front of the cabin. By the 3rd night, Karlee, Zane and I were sleeping in the cabin, and Allen was in the tent with Duke.

Nanny got married

Whitney are favorite nanny of the world, got married in June 2011. We love her and now we love Keaton.

Just us 4, St. George 2011

The weekend after Brad left on his mission, Allen and I packed up the kids and went to St. George. We stayed in a hotel just off the freeway by Old Navy. We had a great time. It was relaxing and just a quiet weekend. We went to visit my friend Emily from Jr. High. Her little girl was having her birthday party at the park, so we joined them.

Brad left on his mission

B left on his mission to Tennessee and we miss him tons.


It is so crazy to me that Zane was so tiny and brad has not seen him since :(






He left before cute Molly Symes was born also....





Karlee draws uncle B. pictures every week. We dont always get them mailed, but she doesnt usually forget. She misses him. She talks about him all the time. She hardley talked after he left but one of the only things she would say is ... I ... Love ... B.

He called us on his way from the MTC to the airport to go to Tennessee and karlee talked to him on the phone and said, I love B. It melted all of us but Im sure it killed Brad.


He wrote us a letter and at the top he had a little letter just for Karlee:


A friend that Brad met in Cookville came to visit us while he was here getting his Truck Driving License. We had Sunday dinner at my parents. haha if you have ever been to Sunday dinner at my moms you know that we had a variety of yummy food that no one would have guessed to pair up.
