Oh the joy!

First of all, I would like to say Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas, oh and Happy New year. I haven't felt like blogging much lately (PREGNANT EXCUSE) so I better just say all three now as I don't have much faith in my self that I will be back before January. We will just have to see.

Allen, Karlee and Duke putting up the Christmas tree.

Whats on my mind: WARNING (pregnant rambling about to take place)
I keep second guessing my self. I have known since before I was actually pregnant that I wanted to have a boy and name him Jack. I love the name Jack. Its simple, very boyish and not to be confused for a girl name. Its classic, but not boring classic, and its not weirdly unique. Just ... Jack.
When I was pregnant with Karlee, we talked about names, and then one day it was just decided, we loved Karlee and couldn't imagine calling her anything else.
Now, when the baby in my belly gets hiccups or kicks me and I say out loud, Oh dear Jack has the hiccups or Jack is kicking, it seems so weird. I don't ever feel like that is really his name. I kept this to my self for a long time because Allen has never fully agreed to the name Jack. He likes it, but "he doesn't know for sure." So in my effort to convince him to love the name Jack, I was never going to tell him I wasn't sure either... until last night. I told Allen and we both decided we like the name Jack, but we should probably think of a couple other names too. I dont want to get to the hospital and see my baby and be like, that is not Jack. I will be all crazy and emotional and he could end up with a really screwed up name. So..... Please help me. I need some other names. Jack will remain at the top of my list for now... but it just doesn't seem like the right name.

What have we been doing:
Turkey Shoot:
Allen and I went up to the Lions Club annual turkey shoot fundraiser on the saturday before thanksgiving. It was a heavy dose of white trash fun! Shaleen and Jake went up with us and we all shot the shotguns. Allen beat us all and he won 2 turkeys. I was large (pregnant excuse) cold and loving every minute of it.

We celebrated Thanksgiving at my parents house this year. The boys, including Brad who flew home from Arizona, went at 6AM to play football. It was 7 degrees outside but they weren't scared. They all came home with a head ache and at different parts of the day each asked ME if i had some headache pills. Weird huh.
All the girls made crafts and helped cook/pre eat the dinner. Thats right i said pre EAT not heat. We did a lot of snacking. (Pregnant Excuse)
We all ate dinner and then enjoyed long long naps. It was exactly the way thanksgiving should be.

My craft this year:

Black friday shopping!
Allen and I went with his sister to toys r us at 11:00pm to shop. We stood in line freezing our butts until about 1AM when we finally got in the store. We had a blast. As much as we complain every year, we love black Friday shopping. I was pretty worn out after that (Pregnant Excuse) so Allen did Walmart, Target, and Kohls by him self. He is a trooper.

Baby Room:
Two weeks ago we got new carpet in Karlee and the new babies rooms. We got new carpet everywhere else 2 years ago but finally had the funds to do the kids bedrooms. Karlee loves her new carpet. It is really soft especially compared to what she had. After they were done putting it in, Karlee laid down in the middle of her room and did what looked like a snow angle in her new carpet. She loves it.
We also used this as an excuse to hurry up and paint the baby room. We wanted all the painting to be done before the new carpet was laid so we didn't have to worry about spills. It looks really cute!
I have been working on making his crib bedding and blanket also. I found a blanket at the fabric store that was so cute so I had the ladies help me pick out all the material I would need to make my own.

Karlee:
She is like a little sponge lately. She is soaking up everything and learning so many new things. She is walking.... yes Im still stuck on this because I thought it would never happen. She also is responding to things that we say to her more and more. She answers questions with yes or no, I dont think she knows what she is saying but she always gives you an answer. She also has learned some of her body parts. She points to her Nose, toes, hair, eyes, mouth, and ear. We have been working on colors for quite a while but she does not seem to be getting that at all. I hope she is not color blind like her daddy.

The Bump and stats:
Baby boy just keeps getting bigger and bigger! I Have 13 weeks left and it has actually gone pretty good this time. I think this pregnancy has been less traumatic for a few reasons, 1 being that I was only really sick for about 2 months, 2 being that I get to work from home and be in my PJ's all day, 3 being that I have my Karlee munchkin to keep me busy so I dont think too much.
Weight Gain: I have gained 12lbs so far. My Doctor said I am measuring quite a bit bigger than I should so he may move my due date up a week or two depending on my next visit. (Always makes you feel good when you hear how big you are! not)
Sleeping: What sleep? I wake up every ten minutes because I am uncomfortable. I pee every night now around 4:15 am. I dont know why I cant just hold it until 6.
I never convinced Allen to let me have his pillow but I am still sleeping with 2 pillows under my head, one between my knees, one propped behind my back, and then i hold on to another.
Cravings: Everyone should be glad to hear that I do not crave the smell of cigarette smoke anymore. I took a lot of crap for that one. My husband was so embarrassed that I told people that and my mom was down right ashamed of me. Lately my cravings are back to just sour candy. (Not really a pregnancy thing just an all the time thing)

Bump at 23 weeks:

Bump at 27 weeks: Sorry I hate taking pictures of my self but I just needed to take one so I could get this blog post over with already.

Okay I think that about does it for the Bishop family for now. Enjoy
